Situated less than 1Km from the town centre of Tubbercurry, our Golf Club is a picturesque and excellent 9 Hole, Parkland Course. We are nestled at the foot of the Ox Mountains where a friendly reception awaits you in a superbly appointed Clubhouse.

Course Design

Tubbercurry was founded in 1991 and is a challenging nine-hole golf course. Its feature hole is the 6th, a 158-meter, par 3, index 12 played from an elevated tee-box, to a difficult green below.  It has spectacular views of the Ox, mountains and surrounding countryside. Tubbercurry clubhouse caters for the golfers every need. It is renowned its warm friendliness to members and visitors.

Societies are welcome and group rates available.

The annual general meeting of Tubbercurry golf club took place in the clubhouse on Friday 25th Nov.

The next 50/50 draw takes place next Friday 2nd Dec. 
The recent 50/50 took place in the Yeats County Inn Curry on Friday 18th. The pot of €245 went to club member Phil O' Connor, Ballisodare

CMD Group Winter League

The CMD group sponsored winter league continues till the end date of December. The match can be played at any time that all members of the team are available. The winter league is sponsored by CMD training group Coolooney.


The club wishes incoming Ladies Captain Marie O'Hara and her committee all the best for the coming year.

CMD Group Winter league: 

The CMD Group winter league is a fun competition which is played over the months of November and December. It is an opportunity for ladies, gents juniors and beginners to play together. Teams of 4 play a scramble format over 9 holes and can be played any day that suit the team. The draw for teams take place on Thursday 10th November. If you wish to take part, enter your name on sheet in clubhouse. The CMD Group winter league starts on Sunday 13th of November. Thanks as always to Chris Mc Donagh for his very generous sponsorship. Irish Diaspora award.
Past captain, Harold McManus of Tubbercurry golf club, has been awarded an Irish Diaspora award by Mayo Emigration Liaison Committee, in recognition of the work he did as project co-ordinator for "The Rev, Fr. Joe Taaffee Memorial Fund".
The Fundraising was to purchase a wheelchair adapted mini bus for the Irish Welfare and Information Centre in Birmingham now known as "Irish In Birmingham"
The fundraising involved organising 3 golf days in the golf club during the years 2004, 2005, 2006. There was also a Liturgical Concert in St. John the Evangelical church in Tubbercurry. Total amount raised was €58000 which purchased the mini bus.
The mini bus has been of daily assistance in getting Irish men and women collected and brought back to their homes throughout the city ever since and has changed the lives of many of its clientele.It has also brought many people home to mayo for short holidays every year.
The award was presented in Hotel Newport, Newport Co. Mayo on Friday 23rd September. It was a gala night with guest artists. M.C. for night was Michael Cummins of Mid West radio.

The Joe Burke Memorial competition was held in Enniscrone G.C. recently, The presentation was held in Enniscrone Golf Club afterwards. Well done to all the players.

Hole in one:
Gorman tool hire are sponsoring a hole in one competition. So far the prize has not been won so keep practicing!

Green fees:
Anyone that pays green-fees during the month their name is entered for a draw for 4 green fees

Societies are always welcome to play one of the best 9 hole parkland courses in Connacht. Catering and buggies are available.

Tubbercurry Golf Club Ladies Committee news;
The winter league sponsored by CMD Group is in full swing at the moment. Teams are mixed and include men, ladies, beginners and juniors. It’s a great opportunity to keep in touch with golf for the winter months. Four rounds are played with the best three counting. Teams have until 31st December to play.
The Ladies Committee A.G.M. was held on Tuesday 8th November in the Club House which was very well attended.

The outgoing Lady Captain, Pat Kelly reviewed a very successful year. She introduced her Lady Captain for 2017 - Marie O’Hara and wished her every success for the coming year. Marie introduced her committee for 2017 as follows:

A Christmas Floral Demonstration will be held in the Club House on Tuesday 13th December, at 8.00p.m. Mulled wine reception with lots of raffles. All are very welcome to attend. Its an annual event and is always very spectacular.
